The State Library of WA and Andrew and Nicola Forrest’s charitable Foundation are pleased to announce Wilurarra Creative artists as the preferred applicants to the Fellowship in Ngaanyatjarra Lands.
Wilurarra Creative, based in Warburton, is a ‘community hub and incubator’ for Ngaanyatjarra people between 17-30 years of age. For this project Wilurarra Creative will:
…create an interactive multimedia installation that will allow audiences to experience being on country through the unique perspective of Ngaanyatjarra young people. Walking between two worlds, of traditional Ngaanyatjarra culture and contemporary Australia, Ngaanyatjarra young people maintain an unbroken and continuous knowledge of and connection to the lands that John Forrest could only study.
Artist involved in the project

- Vashati Lane
- Delvina Lawson
- 10 Wilurarra Creative participants
