Western Australians take to the wheel

The first fifty years of motoring in Western Australia saw huge technological advances in the design and production of automobiles. More importantly they saw enormous cultural changes with Western Australian society accepting the convenience and individual freedom offered by the automobile in exchange for altering the ways in which people lived.  By the end of the century there were over one million cars alone on Western Australian roads.
