Oil and Gas continued

The success of Barrow Island in the early 1960s was followed by the discovery of the Dongara gas field in 1966. 
This went into commercial production in 1971 and thirty years later still supplies gas to the local market.  About 5% of the total Southwest/Midwest market for gas is supplied from the Dongara fields via the Parmelia Pipeline
