Plantation Forestry continued

During the 1990s the Commonwealth Government supported and stimulated commercial plantation developments on cleared agricultural land through the Farm Forestry Program. By 1998 Western Australia had 212,304 hectares in publicly and privately owned plantations, with more than half of that area being hardwood eucalyptus. .
