Influential Women

The fact that women were present at significant events and decisions is often hidden by the lack of images of women.  Either they are absent or they are shown merely in a supporting role. It is not until we purposely look for images of influential women and women's organisations such as the Labor Women's Organisation, the Country Women's Association, the Kindergarten Union and many others, which have made a difference in Western Australia, that we find women in 'heroic' poses.
