Pastoral Stations 1939-1970 continued

Between 1950 and 1970 the pastoral industry remained fairly bouyant. The introduction of the Glenroy air-beef scheme to ship dressed carcasses from Glenroy Station to Derby for export, flourished until the mid 1960s. An improved road transport system and the newly introduced road trains further reduced freight costs and eventually removed the need for air transport.
