Suburban Dreams continued

Residential housing began using 'modern' materials like aluminium, asbestos, steel and glass to produce functional buildings which rejected the ornate or decorative.  It was in this period, in particular, that the motor vehicle enabled the spread of suburbs into the northern and southern corridors around Perth.
